These pics give an idea of the ground that was before us for the trial. It was fantastic...it really tested the open dogs who had to work to find their bird. Then game was being shot a fair distance, and with so many tough obstacles between the dog and the mark, it really demanded intelligence, stamina and confidence as well as the natural game finding instincts that we expect of dogs at this level. 
The views at times from the gallery were almost birds eye views of what was going on in the valley, and was gripping , as we could see the game shot, where exactly it went if it had moved, we could see the dog... and we could see the handler.... it was brilliant. I was wowed several times during the day when a dog came back with the game in his mouth after a long hard search for a runner..... The results of the day were hard earned! Well done to all!!
