Novice AV Maer 26/1/2015
Have to say of the three we have had at Maer today's trial was the best, huge credit to Pete Huggins for putting on a trial in which every dog had flushes and game was shot accurately by Jonathan South and his team of guns. Couldn't ask for more! It was a great atmosphere during the day with some very exciting dogs, some of which went out, but with pace and drive that even brought down fences! Memorable failures! And some memorable successes too!! It was great to see so many of the committee there, and credit to the ess championship winning handler that came to offer his day as a stop to ensure the birds came to hand for the competitors!! It was a privilege to be amongst some very experienced Gundog people today, and watch some great dogs. Our judges Mr Dave Rayner and Mr kevin Powell were split over 3 dogs, and an exciting run off decided the first 3 places. The results were......
1st Glencambus Grey Lady- owner Dave Thompson handler Steve Kelsall
2nd Edwardiana Heidi -John Edwards.
3rd Lisgavarghs Stride of Roghainne- Chris Day
4th Are Henry- Peter Wilkes
CoMs
Nithvalley Hunt Master- Simon Blackman
Dunbrigg Tia, Jim Briggs
Parkmeadow Mayfly-m griffiths.
Congratulations to all
