Well, that's the last trial of the season.  I've thoroughly enjoyed being at the trials, meeting new folk, seeing some great dogs! As the season has gone on, some of the dogs have got hotter and hotter, and made for some breath taking dog work that has been my privilege to watch! Today was no exception. It's been a roller coaster of runs, high hopes for great dogs, and trialling being what it is, despair as temptation overwhelmed them and after working at break neck pace to catch up with wisened,running birds they went before sent!! Left to our own devices today I was relieved that we had experienced judges and competitors- and a few committee members too that all pitched in to stop the birds and offer the dogs a chance of a flush and retrieve. Our judges John Bailey and Ian Bogacki managed the trial successfully, and full placings awarded. Our deserved winner today with his first dog and first trialling season gave a very smart and impressive performance and I was chuffed to bits for him!
