Novice AV stake Abbeystead 6th November 2015

Our thanks to Tony Barrow for hosting this stake. An outstanding effort on his part for the organisation of what could only be described as an operation of military precision! There were a trailer full of stops who were spread out evenly around the entire trial ground. Their job was much needed too as the weather was bad, heavy rain and high winds, and at first the game took some finding... the birds were in the wood and who could blame them! Despite a quiet start, the trial was finished by 1pm, the atmosphere among competitors and organisers was jovial, and all the dogs were well tested before the judges. Our judges Dave Anderson and Ben Watkins who had kindly given up their day to battle through wind and rain to assess the dogs accompanied the competitors and organisers back to the farm where we enjoyed hot soup and a buffet provided again by Sharon Harding. The presentations were made as follows.

1st Skitters Gemma owned by Kenny Hiley and handled by Adrian Slater
2nd and Guns Choice Edgegrove Orb- Jeremy Organ
3rd Ecarg Hydra- Simon Grace
4th Gynebwy Maddox - Rob Singleton
Certificates of Merit
Edwardiana Jess - John Edwards
Coedcollen Rapier - John Eyre
Sithesfield Flint - Harry Chudley
